Our Services

Your day

My aim? To catch both the headline acts - your vows, your rings, your speeches - to the ‘blink and you missed it’ moments: when the father-of-the-bride hides a tear; when the flower girl up ends the confetti on the page boy; or when your cousin grabs the cheesiest slice of pizza.

In order to get you the very best coverage of your wedding day, I will always make time in the planning stages to have a chat with you to find out more about you as a couple and what to expect from your plans. I build my coverage around this, from your preparations in the morning to your ceremony, reception and party.

It’s very easy to get completely swept away with everything that is going on, so I tend to suggest to my couples that they might like to factor in a short break where I can take the 2 of you off for an informal ‘photoshoot’. I use inverted commas here as I won’t be barking directions at you or getting you to hold uncomfortable poses; rather, I will find you a secluded spot and allow you to catch up with each other in the midst of the beautiful busyness of your nuptial, soaking up the realisation that you’re actually married! I use this time to get some candid images of the two of you in a moment of peace, with only very gentle direction (if you need it) to bring you some portraits of your natural chemistry.

Your questions

SHOULD WE BOOK AN ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER?

I’m happy to arrange for one of my photography partners to act as ‘second shooter’ at your wedding. Together we are simply able to cover more of your day, whether that’s being able to attend both bride and groom preparations, more angles during your ceremony or more adventurous portraits - this really is a case of more is more.

HOW MUCH OF OUR DAY DO YOU COVER?

Every wedding is unique, so I will make individual arrangements with you to suit your day. I tend to begin when you start to get ready and provide continual coverage throughout the day, right up to your first dance and beyond! I do require a break to eat, but I normally do this once you’re all enjoying your own food, which minimises any time I’m unavailable. And even then I stick close by, just in case anything spectacular happens!

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED?

My only requirement is a hot meal during the day. This doesn’t need to be fancy (a bar meal will do!) and I normally will have this whilst you’re enjoying your main course so as not to impact the coverage of your day.

WHAT WILL YOU WEAR?

I stick to a smart, neutral outfit. My aim is to blend in whilst remaining professional.

WOULD YOU EVER CANCEL?

In short, only if you don’t pay. My policy is to uphold our contract in all but the most extreme circumstances. If there was a reason I was unable to attend (basically, if I fell ill) I would do all I could to arrange for a suitable replacement photographer.

WHO WOULD ATTEND?

Well, me! And if you book an additional photographer with me they’d be there too.

DO WE MEET YOU BEFORE THE WEDDING?

Getting together before your big day is always on my to-do list - this can take place in person, via a video call or perhaps a phone call. It’s a great way to check we’re all on the same wavelength ahead of your wedding. If you want the ‘full’ experience, you can also book a Pre-Wedding Session to get an idea of what it will be like to have me as your photographer.

WILL YOU WORK WITH OUR VIDEOGRAPHER?

Working with other wedding professionals is all part of the job, I just ask for their contact details in the run up so that we can liaise about our approaches and how best to work together to get you the best possible coverage from us both. It’s worth mentioning, however, that I would expect to be the only photographer at your wedding, unless you’ve booked an additional photographer(s) through me.

WHAT AREA DO YOU COVER?

Living in Sheffield, with easy access to the M1 and other transport links, means I can easily cover most of the UK and even internationally. Travel within England and Wales is included in the price, whilst Scotland, Ireland, and further afield will incur some travel/accommodation expenses which I’m happy to discuss with you on an individual basis.

ARE YOU INSURED?

I have full liability insurance and all of my equipment is also insured.

CAN WE CANCEL OR CHANGE THE DATE?

I have a pretty standard ‘cooling off’ period, so should you change your mind within 14 days of your deposit payment I would return this in full. Cancellations between from day 15 up to 91 days prior to your wedding date results in a loss of your deposit, but you wouldn’t be liable for the remaining balance. Cancellation in the 90 days prior to your booking would still require the full balance payment.

If you need to change your booking date for any reason I will always try and accommodate you, but this does depend on my availability and if it is not possible it would be treated as a cancellation as per the above details.

Other services

Lifestyle

Whilst weddings are my main line of business I am open to a variety of photography jobs and regularly undertake lifestyle shoots, often for previous wedding couples.

‘What is lifestyle photography?’ I hear you say!

Well, it’s a non-studio-based photography session that still utilises my relaxed and non-pushy approach. I capture interactions as they happen with only the subtlest of direction.

Other Services

I also undertake event and commercial work. This could entail coverage of your business’s conference, awards ceremonies, product photography or corporate headshots and portraits.

These opportunities tend to be pretty unique, so if you’d like to discuss any of these services please get in touch by dropping me a line or a quick email.
